Pilipino Cultural Night

The first Pilipino Culture Night was held April 20, 2002, at 8:45 pm in Burman Auditorium as a part of the Michiana Fil-Am Church inauguration weekend. The program featured a play and 5 dances: cariñosa, pandanggo sa ilaw, pandanggo na tapis, sayaw sa bangko, and tinikling. Ryan Baluyot provided the tinikling sticks, Shelley Bradfield prepared the tapis, Shirleen Garcia built the benches for sayaw sa bangko, and Inne Kampunang managed advertising. Various Michiana Fil-Am Church members provided refreshments. There were numerous advertisers in the program, including Quintessence, Travel Cafe, Chicago Fil-Am Seventh-Day Adventist Church, the South Asia Church of Seventh-day Adventists, the South East Asia Club, Bobby Cabugao, Inland Dentistry, the parents of Myla and Jr Ferrer, Michiana Limo Service, the Calla family, Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc., and Dixie Wong.

Pilipino Culture Night

The 2003 Pilipino Culture Night was held Saturday, April 19, 2003, at 8:30pm in Burman Hall. There was a play followed by two dances: bulaklakan and janggay. There were two business sponsors: Wolf's Prairie Watering Hole and Mabuhay Ethnic Foods.

Pilipino Culture Night

The 2006 Pilipino Culture Night was held Sunday, February 26, 2006, at 3 pm in Burman Auditorium. The play was titled Dalaga and two dances were performed: pandanggo sa ilaw and tinikling. Nida Roquiz coordinated dinner. Sponsors included the Roa family, Mabuhay Oriental Store, Apple Valley Natural Foods, Dixie Wong, Lope Vitangcol, Samuel and Donna Roda, Sanbor Mawrie, the Tambunan family, and the Roquiz family.

Pilipino Cultural Night

The 2007 Pilipino Culture Night took place on February 24, 2007, at 8:30pm in Andrews Academy. The main performance was a play was titled Pinoy Joe. The play was written and directed by Coronel Lopez. Proceeds from the event were donated to Adventist World Aviation. There were 4 business sponsors: Mabuhay Oriental Store, Apple Valley Natural Foods, Urgent Care Clinic, and Scott Schalk.

There were several local area event sponsors: United Sports Apparel, Mabuhay Oriental Store, Scott Schalk, Douglas Tacket, and Baguette de France.

Several area businesses helped sponsor the event: Douglas & Tracy Tacket, Baguette de France, Scott Schalk, Apple Valley, and Mabuhay Ethnic Foods.

The 2010 Pilipino Culture Night was held 7pm on Sunday, April 11, at Andrews Academy. The feature presentation was titled Pagbabalik, a play written and directed by Roan Asumbrado. There was one sponsor, Mabuhay Ethnic Foods, and proceeds went to benefit Adventist World Aviation.
