This year, AFIA is fundraising for Doctors Without Borders, who is helping to increase healthcare access around the world. Doctors Without Borders, also known as Médecins Sans Frontières, is an international aid organization committed to providing medical care for people afflicted by war, disaster, or disease. They believe that everyone should have access to healthcare regardless of race, age, or gender. Much of their work is made possible by the generosity of individual donors, who contribute to more than 85% of their total operating finances. The Rice Run’s intended purpose is to raise funds and awareness for this altruistic organization. All registration proceeds will go towards supporting the work of Doctors Without Borders.
